Overwatch Raih Penghargaan Esports Game of The Year

Golden Joystick Award atau yang lebih dikenal dengan People’s Gaming Award merupakan ajang penghargaan yang ditentukan oleh para fans. Salah sau kategori yang diperebutkan adalah Esports Game of the Year. Dan tahun ini, Overwatch berhasil mendapatkan penghargaan tersebut mengalahkan League of Legends dan Rocket League.

Selain meraih penghargaan Esports Game of the Year, Overwatch juga sukses menggondol 2 penghargaan lain, yaitu Esports Team of the Year dan Esports Play of the Year. Lunatic-Hai, tim Overwatch asal Korea ini meraih posisi pertama dalam Esports Team of the Year. Sedangakan posisi kedua dan ketiga ditempati oleh Astralis (CS:GO), Team Liquid (DOTA 2).

Esports Play of the Year didapatkan oleh Brady 'Agilities' Girardi, DPS player dari tim LA Valiant, dengan permainan epik dari Genji, yang bisa kalian saksikan melalui video di bawah ini:

Hasil ini mungkin agak sedikit mengejutkan karena akhir-akhir ini kita tidak melihat sama sekali adanya turnamen Overwatch yang diadakan di Indonesia. Namun di luar negeri, Overwatch baru saja menyelesaikan turnamen tahunan mereka Overwatch World Cup 2017, yang berhasil dimenangkan kembali oleh Korea. Liga besar selanjutnya yang akan diadakan oleh Blizzard Overwatch adalah Overwatch League.
